Installation

Installation type

  • Standalone Installation: All platform and web app needed components are installed on a single server, DB is kindly recommended to install on a separate Server.

  • Before starting the installation, it is possible to change the password of the users who own the database tables, it is possible to select the apps to install, while all the components of the mandatory platform will be installed without providing the possibility of not installing them. Multi-Server Installation: It could be introduced in the next release.

  • During a setup process, i3DEXP-OPrem automatically installs:

  • 3rd Party required tools.

  • Generate a self-signed certificate just to perform a setup of the 3DEXPERIENCE, later its possible to change it with the official CA Trusted Customer certificate.

  • Install for every 3DEXPERIENCE Service a dedicated time instance.

Prerequisite check

  • I3DExp-oPrem improves success rate of installations by checking server settings that are required to allow successful installation. Installation will not start if required checks do not pass.

System HW requirements

  • Server software and hardware must comply with DS requirements as published in the Program Directory.
